She for She is a social enterprise in Uganda that creates positive change for disadvantaged groups. They employ women in vulnerable situations, including young mothers and deaf women, and have recently also included young men who find themselves in similar challenging circumstances. Their primary goal is to produce reusable sanitary pads, as many schoolgirls in Uganda miss school when they menstruate. This is because their families often cannot afford to buy menstrual products. She for She believes that menstruation – a natural part of life – should not be a barrier to girls’ access to education.
Recently, She for She has expanded their product range to include Ugandan baby strollers. This initiative allows them to employ even more women and help improve their quality of life and create economic stability. She for She's mission is not only to create sustainable products, but also to support the local community through fair and meaningful employment.
