The name kilim (or rug) comes from the Turkish word rug, which in turn has roots in Persian gelīm, meaning "coarsely woven carpet" or "carpet without pile". Moroccan kilim rugs have geometric patterns and strong colors, typically in wool.This gives each carpet its own story and unique expression.
